Elite Performance Academy FAW Introduction to Football Coaching Certificate

Online and Classroom

This online award provides a basic and engaging introduction to the organisation of football (soccer) practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on engaging with the young players of today.

The award provides learners with an opportunity to discover and consider the technical and social support that we, as coaches, can provide to our players, discussing various practical aspects. These include: the importance of area size, practice transitions, progressions and regressions, as well as ensuring the learner takes a closer look at themselves, their role as a coach, and how they currently share the messages they provide players.

We come into the school classroom to deliver the online aspect of the course with students getting minimal work to do at home between sessions. We can deliver the course during ECA/CCA time, curriculum lessons or over a weekend. The course takes 6 x 90 minute sessions to complete.

Elite Performance Academy Practical Introduction to Football Coaching Award Level One and Level Two

Practical Sessions

Our Practical Football Youth Coaching Award is for students aged between 15 and 20 years of age. Our goal is to enable youth coaches with the necessary knowledge and skills to support senior football coaches, and equip them with a foundation to become senior coaches.

Level One Award holders will have the necessary skills and knowledge to support Senior Coaches running ECAs and clinics from Early Years to Year 7-8

Level Two Award holders will have the necessary skills and knowledge to plan and conduct football ECAs and clinics, with Senior Coach supervision, from Early Years to Year 7-8.

We also expect that this accreditation will provide students with the opportunity to fulfill curriculum community service goals, and develop and demonstrate leadership skills, as a citation of their community orientated values and contribution for future application for positions at universities and employment.
